Do you have an HOA? Does your community or township have any regulations regarding what material or height of fence you can install? Are you protecting a pool that requires you meet a certain building code? We are happy to help with these questions as well, but it’s always good to educate yourself!
STEP TWO
FREE Estimate & Design Planning

Now it’s time to get us out to your home and check out the property! We’ll come to you for free and expertly assess your yard and the area you’d like the fence. We’ll talk about any specific needs you’re hoping to accomplish like gates. We may even make recommendations based on what we see from your home and yard. This is where the process starts to get fun!

Once you’ve received and approved our quote, we’ll get you in the schedule and start preparing your fence project. We’ll order your fence materials (if we don’t have them in stock) as well as call miss dig, which needs to be done before digging the first post hole. This is a good time to inform your neighbors of the upcoming installation to make sure they aren’t surprised by the project.

INSTALL & ENJOY

There is not a much better feeling than seeing your vision for a project come together. At Straight Line Fence, it is our goal to help you realize your vision for your fence and exceed your expectations every step of the way.

Swimming Pool Fencing Styles

A pool fence can be the only thing standing between your little ones, and disaster. For this reason, your municipality regulates pool fences. A majority of them follow Michigan Building Code, however you must check with your local municipality for specific pool fence information. For example, most municipalities require that:

Gates must open outward away from the pool.
All gates must have self-closing hinges with a self-closing latch, so the gate cannot be left open.
The handle to unlatch the gate must be 54” high to prevent children from opening it.

There are only certain styles of fence that meet pool code. We suggest you confirm your choice with a professional.
